The Cosmelan Peel is a two-step procedure that aims to correct pigmentation issues in the skin such as melasma, hyperpigmentation, skin texture and other blemishes.
The ingredients regulate the overproduction of melanin in the skin. Through an exfoliation of the skin, Cosmelan Peel removes dead layers of skin cells that have accumulated over time. The 2-phase treatment significantly reduces blemishes on the skin caused by melanin increase by targeting brown patches and skin discolourations. It suppresses potential pigmentation from reappearing with an ongoing anti-ageing skincare routine that nourishes and conditions your skin.To maintain this, the active ingredients work to prevent any new production of melanin (the natural pigment that gives the colour to your skin) which is the main cause of dark spots and hyperpigmentation.
The first step of the treatment includes an initial consultation with one of our experienced cosmetic professionals followed by the application of the mask at Laser Skin Centre upon cleansing your skin. The mask requires to be left on your skin for 8 hours. Your professional will provide detailed instructions on how and when to remove the mask at home.
The second step is the at-home aftercare routine. You will be provided with a Cosmelan home aftercare kit. This contains all the products and information necessary to effectively carry out your Cosmelan maintenance at home. The home aftercare kit will last up to one month and can be repurchased as necessary.
This at-home aftercare must be followed diligently for the next 6 months for the best results. Peeling typically starts after 2–3 days, during which you will start to see initial results and significant brightening of the skin.
